Nevada Gaming Revenue Reaches Record High of $1.43 Billion in December

According to the latest report, the Nevada gaming revenue hit a record high of $1.43 billion in December. This resulted in almost $85 million in tax revenue from the 439 reporting licensees. The total revenue for the year was $15.5 billion, which surpassed the previous record of $14.8 billion set in 2022. The majority of the gaming win came from slot machines, with sportsbook revenue reaching $59 million.

The Las Vegas Strip accounted for $905 million of the total revenue, and Clark County as a whole contributed almost 89% of the state-wide revenue figure. The strong performance in 2023 can be attributed to the continued influx of visitors to the region following significant drops during the pandemic years.

It was indeed a remarkable year for the state, with a surge in tourism and gambling activities contributing to the record-breaking revenue. This positive trend is a welcome sign for the gaming industry and the overall economy of Nevada.
